What you should know about St. Michaels Catholic School
In that spirit parents, staff, students and parishioners come out to support each other spiritually, academically and socially. Our school is set on 2.128 hectares and has a variety of classrooms, library, hall and spacious play area as well as an extensive play equipment. Our Catholic identity permeates everything we do in the day. Our values are very imperative to all aspects of our school life. St Michael's has a very good relationship with our parish community and is involved in a variety of community activities. At St Michael's we give a Band, chess club, choir, craft club, games group and a science group. St Michael's motto is truth and Trust and our school rules encompass this be a learner, be polite and be safe. Together with parent volunteers an excellent canteen operates with the support of the principal and the PF Association. A canteen menu and price list is sent home at routine intervals. Lunch orders can be made in the latter manner: write the child’s name, class and order on a brown paper bag and place money inner the bag. The kid then places the order in the lunch order basket FIRST THING IN THE MORNING. Parents are asked not to present their children important sums of money to bring to school. The appropriate health of students is a priority as it helps them to attain their best at school and beyond. These meetings are begin to all parents and friends of children at St Michael’s. At these meetings, parents are capable to elevate issues relating to their children and the school community. A copy of the minutes from each meeting is sent home with all note takers along with an agenda for the following meeting. In addition to promoting the general school aims, the PF is involved in our school in practical ways: Social events are arranged to include all families. Fundraising (to help produce uptodate resources and technology). Decisions on allocation of funds (in consultation with the Principal and staff). Your involvement in the PF (along with that of the Parish and school staff) ensures that the school remains well equipped to gain your children’s education. You will find that meetings are enjoyable, informal and a huge way of meeting other parents.
